Product Details

Pure zinc oxide is a white, odorless powder free of mechanical impurities. It is insoluble in water but not in organic solvents such as ethanol and ether. It can be dissolved in dilute acids to form zinc salts and also in strong bases to form zincates, demonstrating the characteristics of amphoteric oxides.

Product Usage

Zinc Oxide is a powerful and versatile inorganic compound that holds a central position in numerous industrial sectors. In the rubber industry, it serves as the most critical vulcanization activator, significantly enhancing the abrasion resistance, tear strength, and anti-aging properties of rubber products, with nearly half of global production used in tire manufacturing. In cosmetics and personal care, its exceptional UV-shielding capability makes it a key ingredient in physical sunscreens, skin ointments, and anti-irritant products. Within the ceramics and glass industries, zinc oxide acts as a flux to reduce melting temperatures and improve luster. Additionally, it provides essential trace zinc in animal feed, acts as an anti-corrosive and antimicrobial agent in coatings, and serves as a core material for varistors in the electronics field.
